The OBERDECK studio apartments are located in the Ottensen district between the Elbe, HafenCity, and the Alster. You can reach them easily with all modes of transport. You can check in from 3 pm. Our reception is staffed until 7 pm.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN
Altona train station is 250 metres away from our boarding house. If you’re arriving at Hamburg Central Station or at Dammtorbahnhof, you can easily take the S-Bahn towards Altona from there. You will be at Altona train station in 5 to 10 minutes, and, from there, at your new home in just a few steps.

From the long-distance trains in Altona station to OBERDECK:
Take the “Ottenser Hauptstraße” exit.
Turn left.
Cross the bus station.
Go straight on onto Museumstraße, to number 37.
From the S-Bahn in Altona station to OBERDECK:
Take the “Museumstraße/Elbe” exit.
Walk straight from the S-Bahn station into Museumstraße.
Go straight ahead to number 37.
ARRIVING BY PLANE
Schmidt Hamburg Airport Helmut is located in the north of the city. The S-Bahn 1 (green line) provides a direct connection to/from Altona train station.
When travelling to the airport, please note that only the front section of the train goes to the airport. The rear part separates off at Ohlsdorf station and continues on to Poppenbüttel.

ARRIVING BY CRUISE SHIP
Your new temporary home is the ideal spot for a stopover before or after your cruise. The 3 cruise centres on the Elbe are just a few minutes away from OBERDECK. You could in theory walk from the Altona Cruise Center to the OBERDECK studio apartments. Depending on the traffic situation and which cruise centre you arrive into, you can reach us by taxi in 10–20 minutes. Or you can take public transport to Altona train station.
From the S-Bahn in Altona station to OBERDECK:
Take the “Museumstraße/Elbe” exit.
Walk straight from the S-Bahn station into Museumstraße.
Go straight ahead to number 37.
